Ruslana – Suicide due To Mafia and Escorting
After the death of the supermodel, different theories of the cause of her tragic end were made, like mafia pressure and a lawsuit.
Ruslana Korshunova is the 20-year-old model found dead in front of a building in Manhattan where she lived.
A few people assisted to the fall from a few floors. The reasons of her death are still not clear, and possible theories have already been formulated.
The Los Angeles Times wrote that Ruslana’s death is related to her desperate desire to free herself from the eyes of international mafia, which force young models to be escorts to wealthy and powerful men.
A friend of hers said that Ruslana, during her visit in Kazakhstan in May, mentioned a lawsuit against her agents, who hid a large part of her income form her: half a million dollars.
The director of a Russian fashion agency, Elena Jermolajeva, warned on fraud problems which model s have to deal with in the west, a hard life and the necessity of maintaining a perfect shape.
For this, models starve or take drugs. Many of them suffer from depression due to the environment they live in.
