MAFIA: 8 ARRESTED IN PALERMO ON EXTORTION AND DRUG OFFENCES
(AGI) - Palermo - Eight persons have been arrested overnight in a police anti-mafia operation carried out in Palermo.
The arrests came in the gang-areas of Porta Nuova and Pagliarelli, where leading figures have been held.
Investigations concentrated on extortion and drug trafficking activities controlled by the two clans.
Preliminary investigating magistrate, Pasqua Seminara has issued custodial orders on the request of judges Giuseppe Pignatone and Guido Lo Forte and substitutes Maurizio De Lucia, Maurizio Agnello and Roberta Buzzolani.
