KOSTUNICA SAYS SERBIAN MAFIA IS BROKEN
Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica said that his government has been ruling without corruption.
“In dealing with the mafia and corruption I caught every branch of the government, that means that I did not deal with them selectively, without any special rights”, Kostunica told Radio Television Serbia yesterday.
He said that the government has started a serious fight against corruption and organized crime, and that the results show that the government’s hands are completely clean.
“The mafia in Serbia has been broken and shattered into pieces and you can say that the fight against the mafia is not choking Serbia. You cannot say at this moment that corruption in choking Serbia, because the state institutions, firstly the police, are choking out corruption and dealing with it”, Kostunica said.
